History

American Medical Instruments was formed in 1974 as an independent needle manufacturer. AMI became a member of the Marmon Group of companies in 1994 and subsequently part of a private-equity funded company since 2003. In 2006, a management led buyout allowed AMI to once again be an independent manufacturer, able to market its unique capabilities unencumbered by corporate edicts.

Since its founding, American Medical Instruments has had one goal in mind: To become the most diversified original equipment manufacture of specialty needles and components. Known throughout the medical industry as the premier company for its integrity, consistency and quality.
